Finck, Herbert James – Age 75, of Brookside, Truro passed away on September 11, 2024. Herbie passed away peacefully in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro surround by loved ones.
Born in 1949, he was a son of the late Ralph Finck and Dorothy (Fitzgerald) Finck.
Before Herbie's travels, he surrounded himself with his wife, Patricia “Pat” Burgess. Herbie was a proud father to Shannon Finck (Dylan McMullen), Londonderry; Ashley Weatherby (Kevin Cox), North River; who were mothered by Eileen Lombard; four grandchildren, Wyatt McMullen, Curtis Weatherby, Madison Weatherby, Kevin (Dominic) Cox; five step-children; lots of step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Herbie was a loving brother to Ralph Finck (Elsie Finck), Keith Finck (Linda Finck), Lena Alkinson, Sandra Coulter (Philip Hughes), Vickie Worsley; and brother-in-law to Duncan MaGuire. He was predeceased by his wife, Pat Burgess and sister, Jo-Anne Miller.
Herbie spent 23 years at Stanfields. He lived a good life, meeting lots of good people along the way. Herbie spent a good many years as a loving husband to Pat, caring for her through her battle with cancer. After the hard battle and passing of his loving wife, Pat, Herbie lived out his life dream. He always went by the motto "Life is too short, so live it." Herbie spent a total of seven months traveling the world where he made lots of memories, met lots of new people and saw about 40 different places. At that point his life was complete. Herbie spent the last few years making memories with his family, he will be loved and missed dearly by his loved ones.
