Kennedy, Christina “Tina” Louise - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Christina “Tina” Louise Kennedy, beloved sister and aunt, cherished friend and coworker, and devoted family member. Tina passed away on August 11, 2024 at the young age of 65.
Born in Halifax, Tina was a pillar of strength and love. She was very kind-hearted and would do anything in her power to help anyone in her path: family, friends, neighbours, even strangers. Tina dedicated her life to her late husband, Ernie, and her late parents, Tom and Marion. She was the most devoted wife and daughter. Music, road trips, coffee, and time spent with family and friends replenished her soul. Her passions also included crafting, baking, gardening, and enjoying life.
Tina is survived by her brothers, Tommy Kennedy (Ellie), Tony Kennedy (Stephanie), Todd Kennedy (Tina-Lynn); many loving nieces and nephews, in-laws, and extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernie Blackburn, only three months before her passing; her loving parents, Tom and Marion Kennedy (Tufts); her in-laws, Earl and Marion “Molly” Blackburn, Barb Streatch, and David Blackburn.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Tina in The Inn on Prince, 437 Prince St., Truro on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024 from 6-8 p.m.
Tina will remain in our hearts and be remembered for her unwavering positivity, boundless generosity, and loving spirit. Her song has ended, but her melody will linger on forever and always. XXXOOO
