Publicover, Ernlie Allan – Age 65 of Cole Harbour, passed away suddenly July 11, 2024 in QEII, VG Site.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Donald and Evelyn (Rudge) Publicover.
Ernlie retired from the military after having 21 years of service. Following this, he was employed at Scanwood and later at the IWK Hospital in Supply and Distribution. He loved watching hockey and was a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He enjoyed anything history related on documentary programs.
He was a great husband and father and will always be loved and missed by his wife, Petra; children, Donald (Ashley), Julia (Barrett), Ernlie; siblings, Cathy (Butch), Lynn, Michael (Debbie); Uncle Butch and Aunt Betty; cousins, William, Allan; nieces and nephews, Evelyn (Mark), Patricia (Wayne), Laura (Justin), Zachary, Michaela, Marc and Steven; mother-in-law, Aloisia; brother-in-law, Günther and sister-in-law, Martina. He will also be missed by his many cats.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by stepmother, Marge and brother, Patty.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 27, 2-4 p.m. in Royal Canadian Legion Branch #160, 703 Main Street, Dartmouth.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
