Roche (Tonks), Shirley Lucille – Age 76, passed away May 18, 2024 in Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital.
Born in Ingersoll, ON, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Rita Tonks.
Shirley enjoyed needlepoint, quilt making, country life and her cat, Missy.
She grew up in Eastern Passage and was a member of Mic Mac Boat Club, attending many dances. In her adult years, she worked for Hermes Electronics.
Shirley is survived by her brothers, Thomas, Upper Musquodoboit; and Michael (Linda), Fredericton.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth George Roche (2005); brother, Bill; and sister, Judyth O’Rouke.
Cremation has taken place.
At Shirley’s request there will be no funeral or Celebration of Life. Interment will be at a later date.
Thanks to Dr. Lorette and the nursing staff at MVMH for the care provided to Shirley.
