Mason (Feltmate), Sandra Novella - Passed away peacefully at home in Nine Mile River, as per her wishes, on February 12, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 79.
Sandra was the beloved wife of Wesley and loving mother to Tony and Corey. She will be remembered by many for her 18 years as a lunch monitor at various schools, her time working at Green Valley Campground as gatekeeper as well as her volunteer work with the Ladies Auxiliary at the Nine Mile River Community Hall. She found enjoyment in her hobbies which included quilting, embroidery, camping, bowling and especially her BINGO nights! Sandra and Wes enjoyed many trips vacationing to the Eastern Townships of Quebec.
Sandra leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Wesley “Wes”; her son, Tony Mason (Paula); grandson Channing Walker; and her furry friend, Gibbs; sister, Rozanne Rivard (Kenny) of Moncton; brother, Harold Patton of Antigonish; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by son, Corey Mason; sister, Carolyn Masson; brother, Donald Patton.
The family would like to thank Dr. MacNeil, the Palliative Care Team (especially Dawn Ross), VON and Arimathea Funeral Cooperative.
Sandra has been cremated and will remain with Wes until his passing; together they will be interred in St. John Cemetery, Fairview with her grandparents. She requested no formal funeral or visitation; however, family and friends are welcome to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 1- 3 p.m. in Nine Mile River Community Hall, 7160 Highway 14.
