Donald Albert Spence

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved one on Friday, September 27, 2024 at the age of 72.

Surviving are his wife, Debbie Gavas Spence; children, Jason {Terri-Lynn}, Jodie {Martin}; stepchildren, Ryan {Lillian}, Tyler Gavas; grandchildren, Kris, Taylor, Damen, Kalem, Gavin, Jaxon, Ben, and Hayden; great-grandson, Abel; sisters, Judy {Hugh}; Sharon (John). He was predeceased by parents, Albert and Mildred (Delesdernier) Spence; sister, Linda {Stewart Morton); in-laws, Doug and Stella Westhaver; sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Muriel.

Don loved life, he enjoyed traveling, golf, motorcycling, music and waterfall hikes. Throughout his life, his careers included insurance agent, Ambassador tour bus operator, school bus driver, motorcycle training instructor and he also volunteered on various community organizations.

His faith and trust in the Lord were unfaltering during his struggles and journey throughout his illness. He looked forward to hearing, “Well done, good and faithful servant”! The family are so grateful for all the support and love shown to Don and family.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5 at 1:00pm, in Lake Echo Fellowship Baptist Church {LEFBC}, 17 Peter Court, Mineville. Family flowers only. Donations may be made  to Palliative Care Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour or LEFBC.
