Miller, Florence May – Age 94 of Elmsvale, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Born in Elmsvale, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Myrtle (Hamilton) Stewart.
Florence enjoyed working in her flower gardens, watching the birds and cooking. In her earlier years she and Fraser took many camping trips and loved going to the dances. She loved her pets and in her last years enjoyed visits from Meicho.
Surviving are daughters, Marilyn (Paul) Higgins, Michelle (Paul) Koeppl; grandchildren, Chris (Julie), Nadine and Sheldon; great-grandchildren, Jacob (Morgan), Cody, Jordan and Zoe; brother, George; sisters-in-law, Sylvia, Rollie and Polly.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fraser; brothers, Donald (Annie), David, William, Robie (Pauline), Roland (Erminie), Raymond; sister-in-law, Elsie.
Cremation has taken place.
A graveside service will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Elmsvale.
Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada.
Many thanks to the homecare staff for their support allowing Florence to stay in her own home as long as possible. Thanks to the staff of Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital and Glen Haven Manor for their care.
