Kimberly Ann (Bodnarek) Stewart

Stewart (Bodnarek), Kimberly Ann – passed away on May 25, 2023.

If you are reading this obituary, I’ve joined the love of my life, Peter (deceased 2005) in heaven, along with my mother, Audrey Bodnarek (deceased 2021); my father, Ronald Bodnarek (deceased 1996); father-in-law, Clarence Stewart (deceased 2008) and many fur babies.

In my younger years, I enjoyed many aspects of swimming, such as, competitive synchronized, speed swimming, diving and anything to do with water. I also enjoyed curling which was inherited from my parents love of the sport.

My fondness for travelling carried throughout my life started as being a daughter of a father in the Royal Canadian Air Force. This continued throughout my life with family to destinations such as Alaska, China, and Iceland. I also enjoyed exploring my adopted home Province of Nova Scotia.

Those who know me well know my fondness for panda bears, colour coordination and the latest office supplies, my addiction to plastic food containers, nature and supporting local musicians that I call friends.

I am survived by my loving daughters, Katlynn Stewart and Hailey Hill (Liam); twin younger sister, Karen Mize (Tim); brother, Brad Bodnarek (Cynthia); several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Laura Stewart; along with sisters-in-law, Donna, Holly, and Lana and their families. Also, survived by several Exchange Students and grand-dogs, Braxton and Buster, grand-cats Paisley and Bella.

Special thank you to my closest friends, Toni and Lynn along with my family. Thank you to the dedicated VON Team, Colchester East Hants Health Centre Care Team, and Halifax Rehabilitation Centre Teams.

At my request, there will be no visitation.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Arimathea Funeral Cooperative.

There will be a celebration of life to be determined at a later date. Please wear PINK and come with stories to share with my family and friends.

My wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross – Nova Scotia Bed Loan Program. I began my career at Canadian Red Cross in Saint John, NB in 1999.
