Bellefontaine (Fleming), Linda Lois – age 62, of Halifax, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 22, 2023. She was born in Antigonish to the late Leo Truman and Anna Maud (Fisher) Fleming.
Linda grew up in Pleasant Valley, its rustic rural beauty was the heart of her upbringing. She treasured her family and kept them close to her heart. She loved deeply and unconditionally and will be forever remembered for her caring, compassionate, and devoted nature.
Linda is survived by John, her beloved husband of 31 years; son, Robert (Tanya) Richards; and stepdaughters, Michelle (Shawn) Cleary, Lisa (Chad) Saunders, Tracy (Justin) Chubaty. She was a devoted nanny to Keyvontay Simon, Lexus Richards, RJ Richards, Tanesha Downey, Daniel and Ray Cleary, John and Jordan Saunders, and Noah Chubaty. She also is survived by her beloved siblings, Wayne (Peggy) Fleming, Hazel (George) Arthur, Bessie (Elroy) Cooper, Debbie Stewart, Violet, Julie, and Gregory Fleming; and her many cherished nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Elmer “Currie” Stewart, Gordon Henley, Thomas Terrence Boutilier; and her stepson, Daniel Bellefontaine.
According to Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Holy Cross Catholic Mission Church, 11645 Highway 224, Middle Musquodoboit.
