Raye (Healy), Joan Marie – It is with great sadness we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Joan on October 1, 2023 at 9:35 a.m.
Joan lovingly spent 65 years with her husband, Paul, who will forever miss her smile each morning, and her son, Doug who recently surprised her on her 90th birthday. Her smile was priceless. She will be sadly missed by her loving niece, Donna Burke; and special daughter, Josie Higdon. Joan will also be remembered by her many dear friends, Lloyd & Nita, Fred & Audrey, Terry & Alfreda from the church in East Hants.
She is reunited with her son, Wayne after 35 years of being apart.
Joan also lived many years in Oakville, ON, and was a cottager around Weslemkoon Lake where she enjoyed many summers.
We would like to thank all the nurses and staff East Cumberland Lodge.
A service will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, East Stewiacke on Saturday, October 7th at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Cumberland Lodge or Pine Grove Cemetery.
