Mom and Dad were married over 60 years and enjoyed doing pretty much anything as long as they were together. They loved to dance, garden or go for drives. Mom was an amazing cook and baker – nothing better than Mom’s homemade bread, biscuits or coconut cream pie! And Christmas would not be Christmas without Mom’s homemade donuts – we will keep the tradition going Mamabear! In her earlier days, Mom loved to sew and did an amazing job on several wedding dresses! She took cake decorating classes and created works of art. She had a great creative talent.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. There will be no funeral or visitation. There will be a family committal at a later date.
A special and heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Maplestone Enhanced Care where Mom lived the last two years. Your kindness, compassion and love showed you were Mom’s family too.
Donations may be made in Mom’s name to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
