McCabe, Robert Alvin “Bobby”- Age 84, of Meaghers Grant, passed away May 11, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Greenfield, Colchester County, he was a son of the late Paul and Kathleen (MacKay) McCabe.
Bobby worked for 25 years as a carpenter with Merlin Kerr Woodworkers and later at River Oaks Golf Course. He was a hard worker and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone never expecting anything in return. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Bobby will always be loved and missed by his wife, Bonnie (Dean); grandchildren, Morgan, Ray, Devan, Michael, Mitchell, Logan, Sebastian, Sheri, Jamel; daughter-in-law, Lisa; stepson, Shawn Graham; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia (Dickie); son, Michael; brother, Hollis “Junior”; sister, Joan Molnar; stepdaughter, Sandra Graham.
Cremation has taken place.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 16, at 2:30 p.m., in Meaghers Grant Cemetery. A time of fellowship will follow from 3 – 5 p.m., in Meaghers Grant Community Centre.
Memorial donations may be made to Meaghers Grant Cemetery.
Thanks to the doctors and nurses in the hospitals in Middle Musquodoboit, Truro and QE11, Halifax, as well as the paramedics who looked after him. Special thanks to Kevin Leadbeater for being there when we needed you.
