Wilkinson, Eugene Francis – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eugene Wilkinson at home on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022, at the age of 73.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late John and Grace (Blakney) Wilkinson.
He was a fan of the Earnhardt’s and NASCAR and he loved the Toronto Maple Leafs. Fishing was also a favourite hobby of his and many of his weekends were spent at Scotia Speedworld and Riverside Speedway as a race official. He had been employed with Shaw Group in his earlier years, later changing his profession into the collecting of garbage. He worked with Lantz Leasing from 1975 to 1996 and then from 1996 until his retirement in 2016 with High Tide ECO Management Ltd.
Eugene leaves behind his wife of 53 years, June (Dennis) Wilkinson; daughter, Charlene Wilkinson (Kevin); son, David Wilkinson (Rhonda); granddaughter, Alexis Murphy.
Eugene was predeceased by half-brothers, Carl Hustins, George Hustins and Gilbert Hustins.
Cremation has taken place.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Sandy Hill Cemetery, Belnan.

Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
