Mosher, Roy C. – It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Roy Mosher on February 3, 2022, at the age of 87 years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Mosher (December 2014).
He will be sadly missed by his children, Derek (Janet) Mosher, Kathy (Peter) Wedekamm, Paul Mosher; grandchildren, Tristan, Deanna, Bereket, Jeffrey, Krista and Tyler.
Roy was born and raised in Musquodoboit Harbour. He worked for many years and was a co-owner of Mosher Limestone, Upper Musquodoboit. He was active in the Nova Scotia mining industry and a Life Member and President (1988-89) of the Mining Society of Nova Scotia.
He lived life to the fullest – duck hunting with his dad, brothers and sons, snowmobiling, ATVing, scuba diving, boating and golfing with family and the many friends he and Dorothy made throughout the years. His ultimate adventure was training and obtaining his private helicopter pilot license and flying his own helicopter. Roy loved playing crib and travelled far and wide across the Eastern Shore for his daily crib game.
Many thanks to all of the staff at Shannex Parkstone, Point Pleasant Way, 2nd floor who provided exceptional care to our father during his last year.
Donations in Roy’s memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Funeral services will be held the first part of May.
