Curtis spent his early adult years serving in the Navy aboard the H.M.C.S Bonaventure and travelled worldwide. He has outlived kidney disease for 45 years and survived many other life’s battles. He was an avid biker, motorcycle in younger years and bicycle in later years until a few weeks before he passed. Curtis spent the remainder of his years residing in N.S., working as a Construction contractor, Roofing and Siding Home Renovation Business.
Curtis cherished the simple things in life – starting the day off with oatmeal porridge, checking the weather and accepting whatever may be. He loved the outdoors and all seasons. He never complained about the weather as he always said it was a great way to start a conversation with all, even strangers. His favorite morning bike ride was to Tim’s for his mid-morning coffee and chatting with friends and even having a good argument which he never would shy away from. Curtis will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many and will be biking in Heaven until we all meet again.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Colchester East Hants Health Centre for the wonderful care given to Curtis. The kindness, compassion, and thoughtfulness were very evident and appreciated by his family.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.A graveside service will be held at a later date in Burtts Corner Cemetery, N.B.
