MacDonald, Annie “Anna” Katherine – With broken hearts we are saddened to announce the passing of our mother, Anna MacDonald, age 92, on December 6, 2022.
Born in Englishtown, Anna was a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Buchanan. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Archibald “Tim” and her sisters, Margaret “Maggie” Clawson and Mary Jane Harder. She is survived by children, Dolores, Turk, and Dempsey; and her grandchildren, Erin (Logan) and Zach (Morgan).
Anna was a school teacher who taught in Cape Breton and central Nova Scotia. She settled in Elderbank, residing there with her family for more than 60 years. Throughout her life she worked with her husband, Tim, selling antiques and was well known in the community. Anna was a strong, independent woman with a great sense of humour who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held in Spring 2023 in Englishtown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bide Awhile Animal Shelter.
