Lambert, George Vincent - age 80, of Ship Harbour passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2022 in Palliative Care in Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour.
Born in Pleasant Harbour, he was a son of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Beaver) Lambert. In 1969, he married his wife, Frances (Keating), and they spent 53 loving years together. His working career was with Maritime Tel & Tel where he retired after 31 years and enjoyed 29 years of retirement living.
George is survived by his wife, Frances; sisters, Theresa Spears (Robert), Margaret Connors; brothers, Louis (Bonnie), Leonard (Joyce), Frank (Darlene). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews (including great nieces and nephews) of whom he was so proud and loved with all his heart. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by brother, Charles, and brother-in-law, Peter Connors.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for him during his illness and time in Palliative Care. Their excellent care and kindness will always be remembered.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be Nov. 10 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Ship Harbour Community Hall, 214 West Ship Harbour Road. A funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 12 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, West Ship Harbour Road with a reception to follow at the Ship Harbour Community Hall.
Donations in George’s memory may be made to St. Stephen’s Anglican Church or Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital.
