Horne, Marie Agnes – Age 86, of Enfield passed away January 15, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Enfield, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Cooke) MacDonnell.
Marie always enjoyed dancing and going to dances. She loved going for drives, especially looking for deer with her son-in-law. She never went past a yard sale or flea market and enjoyed adding to her many collections. She was well known for her calligraphy and artistic abilities, especially ceramics. She was a lifetime member of Enfield Legion Branch 133 and was a member of the ladies auxiliary for many years.
Her family was very important to her and she will always be loved and missed by daughters, Angela (Ted) Wellwood, Susan Horne (Danny), Lorie Horne (Mike); grandchildren, Katelin, Chelsea, Emma, Lyndsay, Caden; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Wilson, Mickey Nieforth (Ned).
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael; long-time companion, Vincent; brother, Andrew.
Cremation has taken place.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a funeral service for family only will be held at a later date in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Enfield.
Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
