Venturini, Severino “Nino” Aristide – On Saturday, August 22, 2020, Severino “Nino” Venturini passed away in Oakwood Terrace at the age of 98. He was predeceased by his dear wife, Gladys (Broomfield) Venturini; his father, Antonio Venturini; mother, Graziosa (Iusso); siblings, Cesare, Mario, Bruno, Luciano, Armando, Marguerita (Borgobello), Rena (Scaravelli), and Anna (Dazzan).

Nino was born in Teor, Province of Udine, Italy. After his service in World War II, in 1954, he immigrated to Canada through Pier 21. He was a master tailor by profession and worked for several firms including Colwell Brothers and Hudson Bay Company. He was a member of the Fogolar Furlan Association of Halifax and Italian Canadian Cultural Association. For many years, Nino lived in Cedar Glen apartment building and enjoyed playing cards and socializing with his many friends and neighbours.

Nino is survived by his son, Steven (Elaine) Venturini. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Michelle (Ben) and Corey.

Cremation has taken place and a family burial will follow at a later date. A special thank you to Georgette, Kate and all the staff at Oakwood Terrace Nursing Home. Donations can be made to the Woodlawn United Church, Dartmouth.
