Connors, Robert – It is with great sadness that the family of Robert “Bob” Connors announces his passing. Bob passed away peacefully at home in Porters Lake surrounded by family on Friday, August 14, 2020, age 72.
Originally from St. John’s, N.L., and a past resident of Labrador City, Bob and his beloved wife, Deborah called Nova Scotia home for the past 20 years.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Tom Connors (of Portugal Cove, N.L.) and Mary (nee Cochrane) (of Saint Mary’s, N.L.); mother-in-law, Joyce Baker (of Bay L’Argent, N.L.); his first wife, Renate; his brothers, Thomas, Maurice, Rivard, Fred, Walter, Cecil and Mel.
Bob leaves to mourn and is lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Deborah (nee Baker); sons, Rob (Sujata), Mark (Lori), Brad (Krista); his grandchildren, Seth, Kiegan, Lorissa, Makayla, Nathan, Peyton and Morgan. Also fondly remembering Bob are his father-in-law, Absalom Baker; brothers-in-law, David (Rose), Ford (Ann), Brian (Christina), Alf (Rhonda), Geoff (Pauline), Conrad (Natasha), Shawn; sisters-in-law, Gloria (Kevin) and Rita, along with many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Thursday, August 20th from 2–5 p.m., in Porters Lake Community Centre, Highway 7. Due to COVID-19, masks are required and rules of social-distancing apply.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Children’s Wish Foundation
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
