McCallum, Marion Katherine “Kit” – Age 93, of Hilden, passed away peacefully with family by her side in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro on July 13, 2020.
Kit was born in Onslow, a daughter of the late Arthur and Etta Groves.
She always expressed her love for her family, friends, and her dogs, especially her buddy, Jasper. Kit will be remembered for her sense of humour, caring nature, and kind heart. She enjoyed life by having her summers at the cottage, going for a drive, and watching her Toronto Blue Jays.
Surviving are daughters, Sandra (Paul) Fisher, Nancy (Tim) McKinnon; grandchildren, Katherine Fisher (James MacAskill), Jonathan Fisher, Chad (Allison) McKinnon; brother, Allison Groves; sister, Mildred Langille; step-grandchildren, Dwight Robertson, Ardith (George) Cameron, Gordon Robertson.
Kit was predeceased by her husband, Gordon McCallum; brothers, Ralph, Fred, Eric, Stanley Groves; sisters, Violet in infancy, Edna Hanham; stepdaughter, Donna Robertson.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Colchester SPCA.
The family would like to thank the staff of CEHHC for their loving care they provided while in hospital.
