Dean, Gardner William- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gardner William Dean , age 72 of Meaghers Grant on February 27, 2020 in Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour. Born in Upper Musquodoboit, he was a son of the late Charles William and Ethel Irving Dean.
Gardner had been a member of the Lions Club, active in the church, as well as the volunteer fire department in his younger years. His passion in life was trucking. He loved everything about being behind the wheel and did until his health wouldn’t allow it. Trucking was in his blood, and a good work ethic was at his core. He was blessed with many friends of all ages over his lifetime. He enjoyed Saturday night dances, card games and visits at any time, his door was always open. Gardner was an “enthusiastic” story teller, with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to tease and to make people laugh. He found much joy in his companionship with his little dogs Rosie and Ginger who will miss him greatly. He loved his family deeply. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and loved his time with them over the years. He had a special place in his heart for his caring wife for whom he was so thankful.
Gardner is survived by his wife, Glenda; son, Aaron and his children Sydney and Emma; daughter, Leanne (Andy) Streatch and their children, Ethan, Isabella, James and Grace; brothers, Rod (Pam), Dalton (Dorothy); sister, Martha (Glenn) Barnes; brother-in-law, Garnet Higgins.
