Alexander “Harry” (The Bodine) Jardine

Jardine, Alexander “Harry” (The Bodine) – Age 81, of Dean, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 10, 2019, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Eureka, he was a son of the late David and Louise (Carroll) Jardine.

Harry had been a private in the Canadian army from 1956 to 1965, and later became a pipefitter. He was a member of UA Local 244 Plumbers and Pipefitters, and Boilermakers Lodge 73. He was renowned for his skills across Canada. He was a member of Freemasons Elm Lodge 115, Upper Stewiacke. Harry was passionate about his pets, his family, and his friends.

Surviving are his wife, Judy; his children, Wendy Davidson, Steven (Bonny) Jardine, Shari (Henry McInnis), Roslyn (John Majcan), Craig (Kelli) Jardine; grandchildren, Tamara (Pat) Meade, Taryn (Dhani) McAlduff, Brandon (MJ) McInnis, Jerrod (Laura) McInnis,  Mitchell (Kayleigh) McInnis, Rachel Majcan (Colt Nolan), Joshua Majcan, Jacob (Megan) Majcan, Sarah Jardine, Matthew Jardine; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn McAlduff, Brixton McAlduff, Violet Davidson, Charlie Meade, Easton Jardine; stepchildren, Teresa Cox, Tammy (Andy) Wright, Rick Cox (Stacey Kaiser); step-grandchildren, Tiffany, Bailey, Brendon, Bella. He was predeceased by siblings, Laurie, Marion, Clifford, Rita.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Sharon Presbyterian Church, Dean, with Calvin Burt student minister officiating. Burial will follow in Dean Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a local SPCA.

Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
