Mildred Alice (Kidson) Lovett

Lovett (Kidson), Mildred Alice – Age 80, of Dartmouth. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom on May 10, 2019, surrounded by family. Born in Clam Bay, she was the daughter of the late James Warren Kidson and Ruth Theresa (Bowser), and the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Millie worked for many years with Royal Bank and retired after 32 years with Maritime Life. She was very talented in knitting, cross-stitching, and crocheting; and most recently knitted over 300 beanie hats for the IWK NICU.

Surviving are her children, Carla Laybolt-Bezanson (David), Chester Basin; Teresa Godin (Marc), Lawrencetown; Blair and Dale, both of Edmonton; Lisa Richards (Robert), Dartmouth; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Clara, Margaret, Ruby; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William James Carlton “Carl”; brothers, Jim, Robert and Ralph.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. A private graveside service will take place in Lake Charlotte Union Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a local SPCA for care of fur babies.

The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Team and VON for their dedication, compassion and tireless care for our Mom and family.
