MacKay, Bonnie Lynn– Age 73, of Truro. With saddened hearts the family of Bonnie Lynn MacKay announces her passing on Saturday, October 12th, 2019 at home. Born in Middle Musquodoboit, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary (Pineo) Holman.
Bonnie worked at Hermes Electronics, Dartmouth, for many years and after moving to Truro, she was employed with Federal Pioneer Ltd. for 19 years before retirement. After retiring, Bonnie cared for children in her home. She loved each one of them and they all were special to her. She was also a past member of Truro Lions Club where she willingly gave her time and effort to improve her community.
Surviving are her brother, Bruce (Gail), Truro; nephews, Devin, Red Deer, Alberta; Shane (Krista), Truro; grand-nephew, Mason; and grand-niece, Lia Holman. She was predeceased by her husband, Ian.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
In keeping with Bonnie’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Interment will be held at a later date.
