Hamilton, Wayne Douglas – Age 65 of Milford, passed away May 16, 2017, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Harold and Gwendolyn (Tree) Hamilton.
Wayne had over 20 years of service in the military, serving in Rwanda and Germany. He loved hunting, fishing, and all sports. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 48, Elmsdale, where he spent many days playing crib.
Surviving are his son, Jonathan; daughter, Jodi (Ted) Rolles; grandchildren, Kassandra and Logan Rolles; sisters, Sylvia (Lawrence) Nason, Iva (Rick) Young, Sharon (Gordon) Isnor, Kim (Robert) Cox, Nancy (Bruce Christensen); brothers, Allan (Kim), Randy (Kim). He was predeceased by his wife, the former Deborah Mae Fleming; son, Bradley; brother, Peter.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held in Pembroke Cemetery on May 27 at 3 p.m. with Marty Clark-Ettinger officiating. A reception will be held at 4 p.m. in Upper Stewiacke United Church hall. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Upper Stewiacke United Church.
