Ladd Allen Douglas Dunham

Dunham, Ladd Allen Douglas – Age 58, Milford, passed away May 12, 2017, following a short battle with cancer. Ladd was born in Halifax, grew up in Lake Egmont, raised a family in Enfield, and peacefully passed away in his home in Milford.

Ladd was actively involved with the volunteer fire departments in his younger years. He worked as a school bus driver for Stock Transportation for many years, and recently drove the bus for special needs children, whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed playing classic country music and old time rock and roll. Ladd played bass guitar with Grover Country for several years and recently began his own band, Kickin’ Country. He was always happy to perform for many benefits and fundraisers.

Ladd met Daphne Hill in 2007, and they were happily married on August 8, 2014. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Jim, Amanda (James), Brian (Nicole); stepsons, Jason (Laura), Trevor (Catherine); 15 grandchildren; sisters, Heather (Aiden), Kelly, Ann (Charles); brother, Matt (Amy); and many long-time friends. Ladd was predeceased by his beloved first wife, Adelaide.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-5 p.m., and funeral service will be Thursday, at11 a.m., both in St. Paul’s United Church, Antrim, Rev. Michael Henderson officiating. Following the service, cremation will take place, and the burial of ashes will be in Nuttall Hill Cemetery, Antrim. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
