Layton “Arthur” Dodsworth

Dodsworth, Layton “Arthur” – The passing of Layton Arthur “Art” Dodsworth, age 73, occurred on October 26, 2017 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. A son of the late Layton and Bessie Dodsworth, Art grew up on the family farm working alongside his father.

Art then went to work for Annand Steel, Atmus Equipment as foreman of the Dartmouth branch, and spent 18 years as service manager for Clem MacDonald at Central Equipment. It was said “If Art couldn’t fix it or tell you how to fix it, it couldn’t be fixed!” He was an easy going man who enjoyed duck hunting, bluegrass music and his 20 jovial years at Brule Beach Estates.

Art is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 52 years, Margaret; his much‑loved sons, Kevin (Tahnee), Aaron (Bronwyn); his beloved daughter, Jennifer (Ray Bowser); his precious grandchildren, Arthur, Curtis, Emma, Carey, Cole, Kyla and Makenna; sisters, Pearl, Phyllis, Betty, Margaret; brother, Mark.
