Spiers, Janice Elaine – Age 70, Musquodoboit Harbour, passed away peacefully in Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, on September 6, 2016. Born in Musquodoboit Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Gardner and June (Day) Bayer.
Janice was a long-time faithful member of First United Church where she held many offices. She always put others ahead of herself. Her warm smile will be sadly missed by her husband, John; her children, Jeff, Melanie and Melissa; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Betty. She was predeceased by her brother, Brian.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. in First United Church, Musquodoboit Harbour, with Rev. Joan Griffin officiating. A reception will follow downstairs in the church. Memorial donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada, Nova Scotia Division or First United Church.
