Ernest K. Weeden

Weeden, Ernest K. – Age 88, Lower Sackville, passed away in Northwood Ivany Place, Bedford, on August 21, 2016. Born in Toronto, he was a son of the late Edward and Barbara Weeden.

Ernie enjoyed life and greeted everyone with a smile. He was a member of Timberlea Masonic Lodge No. 136, an avid golfer, loved to travel, enjoyed woodworking and a good game of cards with friends. He had been employed as a draftsman for the Avro Aircraft fighter jet project and later was an instructor at NSCC IT Campus from where he retired.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia (Wilson); sons, Mark (Sue), David; daughter, Annalea; stepchildren, Robert (Denise) Wilson, Kevin (Debra) Wilson, Lisa (Ross) MacDonald, Angelia (Stephen) Fralick; grandchildren, Nicole, Josh, Vincent, Stephanie, Brittany, Rebecca, Haley and Vivian. He was predeceased by his first wife, Bonita; son, Paul; brother, Bert.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. A celebration of Ernie’s life will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in The Church of the Good Shepherd, 28 Trinity Lane, Beaver Bank, with a reception to follow in the parish hall. A private interment will be held in the church cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Ernie’s memory may be made to The Church of the Good Shepherd.
