McGillivray, Archie Johnson – Age 86, of Upper Pembroke, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2016, in Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche. Born in South Branch, he was a son of the late Alexander and Katherine (Archibald) McGillivray.
Archie was a retired employee of Michelin Canada. Always one for a good joke or prank on family and friends, he will be remembered by all as a gentleman, loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, of 61 years, the former Sylvia Cooper; children, Beth (Frank) Tree, Archie Jr. (Wendy), Lisa (Daniel) Kaulback; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; brother, Robert; sisters-in-law, Ferne, Jeannine. He was predeceased by great-granddaughter, Olivia Tree in infancy; brothers, Hugh, Lyle, Douglas; sister, Elizabeth (Dan) Ross.
Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
