Horne, Marguerite Jean – Passed away peacefully on November 5, 2021 in the Birches Nursing Home in Musquodoboit Harbour at the age of 88. She was born in Dartmouth to the late Gerald and Florence (Hartley) Hilton. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Horne – after 46 years apart they are together again. She spoke of him often and loved him until the end; her sisters, Geraldine Seaboyer and Elizabeth Joudrey are also waiting for her to join them. What a great reunion they will have.
She is survived by her only brother, Gary (Joan) Hilton. She will be missed by her daughter, Lynda (Jim) Kidson and their children, Trevor Mutch, Tammy Mutch and Janice Kidson. Left to mourn her loss are her son, David Horne (Cheryl) and their daughter, Tara Wood. She leaves behind her daughter, Cheryll Morrison and her daughters, Bonnie Philpitt and Angie Philpitt. Left to miss her is her youngest son, Barry Horne and his children, Christopher Horne and Paige Nieforth. She also leaves 25 great-grandchildren to mourn her loss. She was always happy and spread joy everywhere she went. She will be remembered for her great hugs and a love pat on the bum. This was her way of showing affection. She was well loved by all the staff at the Birches, thank you all for all the kindness and love you gave her all the years she was under your care! Rest In Peace Mom!
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. A funeral service will be held at a later date.
