Keeping, Bernard Harvey – Age 60, of Dartmouth, passed away May 9, 2015, at home, surrounded by family. Although Bernie had a short struggle with cancer, he faced it with great strength and dignity. Bernie was born in Middle Musquodoboit, and was a lifelong resident of north-end Dartmouth. He was a son of Doreen (Gilbert) Moore and the late Harvey Keeping. He had been a proud employee of Pepsi Canada for over 40 years. In that time, he earned many recognitions for his work.
Surviving are sisters, Peggy Lamb (Bob), Charlene Moore (Peter); brothers, Charles Moore (Dwayne), Linden Richardson, Glen Dominaux (Rose); nine nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Charles Moore.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of Bernie’s life in The Ship Victory on Wednesday at 7 p.m. A family committal service will be held in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens, Main Street, at 11 a.m. on Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
