Noonan, Mary “Lucy” – Age 87 of Chaswood, passed away May 18, 2017 in Braeside Home for Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit. Born in Corner Brook, N.L., she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Julie (Doucette) Cormier.
Surviving are her husband, Francis; daughter, Catherine MacDonald, Toronto; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Shelly Noonan, Head of St. Margarets Bay; Lynn (Dave) Ford, Hammonds Plains; Arlene (Glen) Boyd, Edmonton; siblings, Eddie Cormier, Cobourg, Ont.; Marie (Len) Soloman, Kitchener, Ont.; Jennette (Steven) Zawolski, Bramalea, Ont.; Jarard (Denice) Cormier, Dola (Leon) Colford, both of Sydney; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sons, Michael, Paul; brother, Harold.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. A reception will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in Lucy’s home, 13270 Highway 224, Chaswood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local SPCA.
