McMullin, Stanley Chester – Age 84, Lake Egmont, passed away August 22, 2015, in Braeside Home For Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit. Born in Chaswood, he was son of the late Maurice and Nina (Bell) McMullin. Stanley had been an employee of National Gypsum for 42 years, operating many machines. While there, he uncovered the skeleton of a mastodon. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and stockcar racing, but for the most part, his favourite place was home with his family.
Surviving are his wife, the former Eva Sanford; daughters, Carolyn (Mervyn) Higgins, Mildred (Keith) Cunningham; daughter-in-law, Judy; grandchildren, Nancy, Joey, Danny, Daryl, Kyle, Alicia, Joshua, Chelsea; great-granddaughters, Hanna and Aubree; sister, Grace McMichael; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sons, Albert and Melvin; sisters, Gladys, Jennie and Eileen.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, at 2 p.m., in Nuttall Hill Cemetery, 117 Lake Egmont Rd., with Rev. Dr. Linda Yates officiating. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Nuttall Hill Cemetery or Musquodoboit Valley Health Foundation – Braeside.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
