Dunlap, Wesley George

Dunlap, Wesley George – Age 75, Stewiacke, passed away Monday morning, June 29, 2015, in East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Wesley was born in Newton Mills, on March 4, 1940, to the late Arthur and Evelyn (Wyer) Dunlap. At an early age, Wesley left home to work in the mines in Ontario. He settled in Sudbury where he was employed by Inco for many years.

Surviving are his stepson, Randy (Cathy) Graham; son, Stephen, both of Ontario; daughter, Karen (Tom) Keys, Hilden; grandchildren, Cassandra, Brianna, Erika, Jake, Stephen, Tara, Nicole, Jesse, Shannon, all of Ontario; and Sarah, Hilden; brothers and sisters, Sylvia Pickles, Lawrence (Sharon MacKay), Albert (Dianne), Donnie (Kathleen), Shirley (Bob) Ross, Rosalie (Butch) Frizzell, Betty (Jim) Rector, Faye (Willie) Courtney, Barb (Gordon) Miller, Cecil (Lillian); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Christina, in infancy; brother, Willie; brother-in-law, Harry Pickles; great nephew, Colin Joyce.

Wesley enjoyed woodworking and loved doing the Bluegrass circuit with his friends. He also loved getting together with his brothers and sisters, who supported him throughout his battle with cancer. Wesley will be sadly missed by all.

Visitation will be Thursday, starting at 1 p.m., until funeral service at 2 p.m., both in Springside United Church, Eastville, with Rev. Marilyn MacDonald officiating. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
