Frank Douglas Deal

Deal, Frank Douglas – Age 73, of Elmsvale passed away peacefully in Dartmouth General Hospital on June 6, 2022 with his daughters by his side.

Born in Elmsvale, he was the oldest son of the late Douglas Deal and Irma (Fraser)(Deal) Archibald.

Frank worked for Nova Scotia Power for over 30 years and then retired to start his own locksmith business.

He loved learning new things and sharing his wisdom. Gy was a devoted grandfather to his seven grandchildren and was always willing to help them with their math assignments and tell tales from his mischievous childhood adventures.

He loved to watch wrestling, go for drives and listen to Shaggy’s reggae music.

Frank will forever be loved and missed by his daughters, Jennifer and Jeanette (Dana); grandchildren, Justin, Jaela, Delainie, Kaci, Bria, Jekaia, Janeka; brothers, Gordon, Kenneth (Eva); sister, Evelyn (Charlie); nieces and nephews; and his special girl, Tootsie.

Frank was predeceased by nephew, Andrew and the love of his life, Kathryn. He was heartbroken with the recent loss of his wife and the family takes comfort in knowing they have been reunited.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 12 from 1-3 at Evelyn’s house on Shady Lane.

Stephen "Steve" Ross Price

Price, Stephen “Steve” Ross – Age 68, of Halifax, NS, passed away June 4, 2022 at Oceanview Continuing Care.

Steve was born in Dean Settlement.  He worked as a technician in the Department of Psychology at Dalhousie University for many years, and was very proud to earn his B.Sc. in Psychology as a mature student.  Steve loved music, and played in bands in the Halifax area for many years.  He also loved animals, particularly cats.  He enjoyed photography, especially taking photos of nature.  Steve could always be counted on for a lively conversation, especially around politics.

Steve is survived by his brother, Bernie (Bonnie) Price, Dean Settlement; sisters, Shirley (Kemp) Melanson, Sandy Cove; Susan (John) Withrow, Mt. Uniacke; and Sandra Pate, LeDuc, Alberta.  He is also survived by his biological daughter, Valerie; and grandson, Jack, Fort McMurray, Alberta; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Annie (Ross) Price; his brothers, Elroy, Richard and Dexter; and his sister-in-law, Betty.

Susan will host a celebration of Steve’s life at her home, 50 Withrow Lane, Mt. Uniacke on June 24th, 2022 from 7-10 p.m.  A family graveside service will be held June 25, 2022 at 2p.m. in the Dean Cemetery, Dean.  Donations in Steve’s memory may be made to Bide Awhile Animal Shelter or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.

Michael Christian Friis

Friis, Michael Christian – Passed away peacefully on June 2, 2022.

He loved the Lord, his family and many friends. He accomplished many things in his life. He was an artist, loved travelling, motorbikes and collecting sailing ships. He retired from BIO as a courier in 2003.

He will be dearly missed by sister, Heidi; and brothers, Chris, David, Erik, Bruce and Neil. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

June Elizabeth (Leslie) Roberts-Miller

Roberts-Miller (Leslie), June Elizabeth - July 1960-May 2022

Our beloved June passed away peacefully on May 29, 2022 surrounded by loved ones after the most courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Middle Musquodoboit, June was the eldest of five children to the late Clark and Anna (Hamilton) Leslie.  She was a star athlete in school, enjoyed the outdoors and being camp counsellor in the summers.  Her interests lead her to Truro where she attended the Nova Scotia Teachers College and her eldest daughter, Julia Roberts (Heather) was born.  June’s second daughter, Elizabeth (Marc LeBlanc), was born in Liverpool and the family then moved to Kentville where June worked and raised her girls.  She didn’t miss a single sporting event and was always the first to volunteer to drive and also coached teams for both girls.  They spent lots of time camping, going to the drive-in theatre, family gatherings, visiting beaches and travelling.  June also ran an in-home daycare in Kentville and she loved the children as though they were her own.

A new chapter in her life took June back to her roots and she started a job at the airport.  It was during this time that she met her surviving spouse, Brent and found her place on the Miller homestead.  Together they built the most miraculous gardens, and a wonderful life filled with love. With Brent came a new extended family, Colleen, Karen, Shannen, Keon, Mylah, Alex, Thalia and Lily.

June’s pride and joy, Luc, came to her in November 2021 and she didn’t disappoint!  She spent as much of her time with him as she could and her little grandson got to know her and love her very much.  We will continue to share our memories with him and he will know just how much he meant to her.

June is survived by sisters, Carolyn (Jim Shirley), Susan Venner (Roger McClellan), Leola (Stephen Hirtle); nieces and nephews, Lori, Stephanie, TJ, Lacey, Jessica, Christopher, Charlie, Jaime, Anthony; grand-dog, Ozzy; as well, many great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family and friends all of whom will miss her dearly.  June is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Roy and Gladys Leslie; maternal grandparents, Artie and Minnie Hamilton; sister, Julia Ann; and brother-in-law, Clayton Venner.

June absolutely adored Christmas and spending time with family during the holidays.  She loved food and cooking for others, hosting many dinner parties every place she lived.  We have many fond memories of outings to Martinique beach and camping.  She also enjoyed attending auctions and searching for antiques.

A mother’s love is always with her children.  Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know.  June’s heart was full and it overflowed onto all who knew her.  May she visit us often and know she’s always welcome.

June loved flowers of all kinds and they can be sent to the St. John’s United church in Fall River.  In lieu of donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your people or walk on a beach for a moment, an hour, or a day.  Time waits for no one.  We have a special place in our hearts for the staff on 5B who cared for June in her final days with much care and compassion, thank you!

A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, June 2 at 11 a.m. at the St. John’s United Church, Fall River with reception to follow.  A family burial will be held in St. Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery, Fall River

Audrey Marie (Bonn) Doyle

Doyle (Bonn), Audrey Marie – Age 89, of West Jeddore, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2022, in the loving company of her children. Born in Head of Jeddore, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Nina (Jennex) Bonn.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Seldon Doyle; sisters, Joan (in infancy), Margaret Rose; brother, Allen; half-brother, Melvin; and step-brother, Cyril Dicks.

Audrey is survived by her children, Linda (Russell) Faulkner, Heather Doyle and Seldon (Nancy) Doyle, as well as nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and her sister, Jean (Neil) Faulkner.

Our mother was an incredibly strong woman with a spirited personality. She will always be remembered for her keen wit and sense of humour which were with her until the end. Her greatest joy in life was being with her family, whom she loved dearly.  

She was a gifted quilter and knitter, but her passion in life was cooking, especially when she was sharing it with others. In her later years, while living in a seniors' apartment complex, she made meals and baked goods and delivered them to others in the building.  It brought her joy to know she was making someone's day a little brighter.

In her final days she was comforted by the many calls and visits from loved ones and friends near and far.  She died knowing she was loved.

Christine Kathryn (Urquhart) Fralick

Fralick, Christine Kathryn – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Kathryn (Urquhart) Fralick of Tufts Cove, Dartmouth, on May 25, 2022.  Born December 1952, she was a daughter of the late Eric G. Urquhart and Phyllis M. (Glawson) Urquhart. 

Chris was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She was an avid bingo player and her love of cards was equally matched. Always on her terms, she played until the very end with her family alongside.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Kelly Lyn (Joseph) MacDonald; son, Earl George Fralick; her grandchildren, Brandi, Travis, Charly, Johnny, Quinton and Billie-Jo; honorary granddaughter, Porscha; her great-grandchildren, Johnnie and Anthony, all of whom she loved deeply.  She is also survived by her many siblings, Jean (Garry) Deir, Debbie (Archie) Rogers, Cindy (Blaine) Hamilton, Orma, Tammy, Holly (Fred) Wilson, Eric (Becky) and Terrance (Terry) Urquhart; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.  Christine had an extensive family and circle of friends all whom she loved dearly.  Christine was predeceased by her loving husband of many years, Earl Robert Fralick; her parents; sister, Becky; brothers, Norman and Jimmy; and mother-in-law, Jean Gilbert “Gransmothers”.

Deepest gratitude is extended to Erica, the Maid Program, Palliative Care and VON staff for their support.  Special thanks to Dr. Smith and Cheryl.

Cremation has taken place.  A private celebration of life has been held as per her wishes.  Donations may be made to charities of her choice which include Mental Health programs or shelters for the homeless.

Laurie Andrew Fletcher

Fletcher, Laurie Andrew – Age 77, of Truro and formerly of West Gore passed away suddenly on May 24, 2022.

Born in West Gore, he was a son of the late William and Dorothy Fletcher.

Laurie had been employed with Dexter Construction for 37 years as a machine operator. He was a very considerate family-oriented man. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, a Tim’s coffee and helping others.

Surviving are his wife, Grace (Rowter); daughter, Angela (Ross) Roulston; grandsons, Kyle (Laura), Tyler, whom he thought the world of; brothers, Donald (Bev), Owen (Linda); sister-in-law, Etta Fletcher.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Geoffery; brother, Robert; sister, Irene Wile.

Cremation has taken place.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 31 at 1:30 p.m. in Church of Christ in West Gore.

Archibald "Archie" Shea

Shea, Archibald “Archie” – 1960 - 2022 of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Archie on May 21, 2022. 

He was a son of the late Gerald and Catherine (Cameron) Shea. He was predeceased by his nephew, Sean Kieswetter; and his fur baby, Kelise. 

Archie is survived by his brother, James; sisters, Jean (Garry), Geraldine (Ray), and Betty; nieces, Kelly, Robyn and Anne; and great-nephews, Sean and Hunter. He also leaves behind his life partner, Brittani Amirault; cats, Clyde and Bagheera; best friends Dave, Neil (Jolene), Michael and Frances.

Archie was a fun, loving and free-spirited man. He was born in Kitchener, Ontario and travelled throughout Canada until finding home in Nova Scotia. He was an amazing cook and meat cutter by trade who loved to prepare delicious meals for his friends. Archie had a great sense of humour, he had the best laugh and smile. He had a love for the ocean, fishing, writing, and talking to everyone. He had the gift to gab, his friend would tell him “you can talk more than I can listen”. That was sometimes true, but Arch always had a good story to tell. Archie loved all animals, including his three cats. He was the best cat dad, and his little buddy, Clyde will truly miss him. He was a kind face to so many in the community, and his compassion for others will always be remembered.

A small memorial service will be held at the Dartmouth Commons at a later date.

Rosealee (Archibald) Busby

Busby (Archibald), Rosealee – age 81 of Brookfield, formerly of Kemptown, has sadly passed away peacefully in her sleep during the wee hours of May 21, 2022.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Pat) Walton; sons, Michael (Carol), Corey (Cindy James); grandchildren, Erica (Michael Manuel), Mitchell, Cameron; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Maxwell. She also survived by her sister, Joan (Alec) Dunbar; brother, Alton Archibald; sisters-in-law, Elenore Archibald, Josie Archibald, Kathy Marvin; brother-in-law, Norm Hardy; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; including her two special cousins, Doris Knight and Sonja (Scott) Maclean; and her long-time friends, Rae Laberee and Sandra Kennedy.

Rose is predeceased by her husband, Bryan in 2019. Rose is also predeceased by her parents, George and Isabel (Hingley); brothers, Owen, Dexter, Henry, Phillip; sister, Vera (Tommy) Heighton, Connie (Ray) Barkhouse, Deborah Archibald; sisters-in-law, Joan Hardy and Margaret LeFort.

In 1959, Rose met her loving husband Bryan on a trip to Calgary with her brothers Owen, Dexter and Henry to find their fortune. Bryan’s career quickly had the couple moving across the country and settling in Nova Scotia. Over the years, Bryan’s career saw the family moving from place to place, but Rose always made each place feel like home for her family. In 1976, the Busby family settled back in Nova Scotia and would call this province home for the next 46 years. Once settled, Rose joined the garment manufacturer Stanfield’s Limited as a seamstress. Rose met many wonderful friends during her 30-year career at Stanfield’s; she retired in 2011 at age 70.

Rose loved spending time with her family and friends. Rose hosted many family gatherings at their home in Brookfield over the years, and welcomed friends, family, and neighbors into her home with open arms. Rose had a passion for sewing and a love for gardening; she also loved sitting and watching birds in her garden. Rose loved competition and didn’t miss an opportunity to take on anyone in washer toss or horseshoes. Rose loved to travel and made frequent trips out west to spend time with her family and friends. One of Rose’s fondest memories was the twice a year girls weekends spent at the farm with her daughter, daughters-in-law, cousins and friends. Rose will be remembered for her great smile, never ending hugs, and wonderful sense of humor.

There will be no formal funeral service, but a private burial will take place at the Kemptown Cemetery. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Summer Street Industries Foundation, New Glasgow.

Alan Ross Estabrooks

Estabrooks, Alan Ross – Age 70 of Porters Lake, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 20, 2022.

Born in Sackville, New Brunswick he was a son of the late Norris and Marion Estabrooks.

Alan was retired from a 25-year career in the Royal Canadian Navy. Following that, he had a career with Marine Drive Courier from which he retired in November.

Surviving are his wife, Deborah (MacDonald); son, Gregory Alan Estabrooks (Anne Marie); granddaughter, Maya; sister-in-law, Gloria Estabrooks; niece, Barb; nephew, Jason, and their children.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Ernest F. Estabrooks.

Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Hope for Wildlife.

Anne Ellen (Best) Henderson

Henderson (Best), Anne Ellen – It is with great sadness that the family of Anne Ellen Henderson announce her peaceful passing on May 14, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, surrounded by love.

Anne was born in Truro, the third child of seven born to the late Mary (MacDonald) Best (Fielding), the late Ralph Best and the late John “Jock” Fielding.

Anne is survived by her loving devoted husband of over 50 years, Gordon Henderson; children, Sharon (Joseph Bellaera), Toronto; Debbie (Stephen Vaughan), Upper Cloverdale, NB; Kevin (Lise) McNutt, New Scotland, NB; Russell (Krista) Henderson, Bible Hill; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Vena, Gordon “Doz”, Marie “Cookie”, Gary and Gail. She was predeceased by her sister, Sylvia Stewart.

A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Anne loved her family, friends, flowers, bowling, camping and singing. Anne was known to be a great listener who loved to laugh and enjoy life. She was devoted to her family and especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Anne and Gordon shared a deep love for each other.

A special thank you to the hospital staff.

Robert "Bobby" Alvin McCabe

McCabe, Robert Alvin “Bobby”- Age 84, of Meaghers Grant, passed away May 11, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Born in Greenfield, Colchester County, he was a son of the late Paul and Kathleen (MacKay) McCabe.

Bobby worked for 25 years as a carpenter with Merlin Kerr Woodworkers and later at River Oaks Golf Course. He was a hard worker and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone never expecting anything in return. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Bobby will always be loved and missed by his wife, Bonnie (Dean); grandchildren, Morgan, Ray, Devan, Michael, Mitchell, Logan, Sebastian, Sheri, Jamel; daughter-in-law, Lisa; stepson, Shawn Graham; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia (Dickie); son, Michael; brother, Hollis “Junior”; sister, Joan Molnar; stepdaughter, Sandra Graham.

Cremation has taken place.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 16, at 2:30 p.m., in Meaghers Grant Cemetery. A time of fellowship will follow from 3 – 5 p.m., in Meaghers Grant Community Centre.

Donna Marie Bellefontaine

Bellefontaine, Donna Marie – Age 60, daughter of Joan Comeau and the late Joseph Martin Comeau, formerly of West Chezzetcook, passed away peacefully November 30th, 2021 with family by her side at her residence in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Donna worked with various cruise lines doing international cruises, seeing much of the world for 6 to 7 years. She was gainfully employed as black jack dealer as well as other games of chance as assigned to her. After doing her stint on the water, she settled on land, making Florida her home, working for the Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek. She will be sorely missed by her mom, family and friends and her little dog, Cole. All who knew her will miss her warmth and loving ways, especially displayed with the seniors that lived in her development who have expressed the loss of her presence. She was always ready to help and assist whenever she could.

I would like to thank Doctor Colada, her cardiologist, the nursing staff on the 3rd and 5th floor of Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale for their warmth and generous care given to her, to Chaplain Barnabus for his daily visits, to my niece, Arlene and her husband Michael who went above and beyond. Your caring and compassion will never be forgotten.

Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Middle Musquodoboit on May 14th at 11 a.m, with Father Gregory Agyeman as Presider assisted by Deacon Daniel Bowden. There are no Covid restrictions at this time, however, it is strongly suggested by the Department of Health that masking be maintained. There will be a reception downstairs at the Church following the burial. All are welcome to attend. Donations may be made to Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.

George Allan Preeper

Preeper, George Allan – Age 93, of Lantz, passed away May 9, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Born and raised in Lantz, Allan was a son of Alton and Nora (Isenor) Preeper.

He is survived by the love of his life, Lorraine (Hare) Preeper; sons, Barry (Janet), Donnie (Sandra), Laurie (Pauline), Roger (Ellen); grandchildren, Ian, Lindsay, Darren, Mark; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Elwood (Juanita) Preeper; sisters, Sheila (Fred) Newman, Dorthy Parrot; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Bill; sisters, Treasa and Nina; sister-in-law, Peggy; brothers-in-law, Laird and George.

Allan worked at Shaw Brick for 46 years as a labourer and machine operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and tending to his garden. He also enjoyed bowling, playing and coaching hockey and softball. Allan had a soft and kind heart and will be forever loved and missed.

Eva Maynard

Maynard, Eva – On May 8, 2022, Eva Maynard, age 76 of Stewiacke passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in Colchester East Hants Health Centre.
Eva was born in Norris Point, Newfoundland and was a daughter of the late Andrew and Harriett (Howell) Maynard.

Eva was one of 17 children and had five daughters of her own, Bernadette, Kimberly, Lisa (Barry), Barbara (Dirk), and Brenda (Terry).
Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Eva knew her grandchildren, Mitchell, Mariah, Kevin, Patrick, Sasha, Karine & Sophia were her pride and joy along with her many great-grandchildren. She also had two small dogs, Todd & Bella whom she loved dearly.
Eva was a very independent strong women who raised her girls to be the same. She was very humorous and a saucy proud Newfoundlander.
Many thanks to the VON with their care that allowed Mom stay in her home. She loved everyone of them and would always tell them don't let anyone be mean to you, tell them you know a Newfoundlander, come and get me I will tell them off for you. Thanks to Colchester Hospital for making Mom comfortable in her last hours. Special thanks to Kim MacPhee, her long-time friend who would sit with Eva to keep her company. She loved your visits.

In keeping with Eva's wishes, there will be no funeral, she will be taken home to Newfoundland to be buried with her Mom & Dad.
She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
We will have a celebration of her life Saturday May 14th at 1 p.m. in West St Andrews Community Center.

Winston "Winnie" C. Welner

Welner, Winston “Winnie” C. – Age 80, of Enfield, passed away May 7, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre.

Born in Mount Uniacke in 1941, he was a son of the late Roland and Lucy Welner.

Winnie is survived by his wife, Janette Welner; daughter, Gina (Bruce) Thompson; and grandson, Tyler; as well as sister, Violet Churchill.

Besides his parents, Winnie was predeceased by sisters, Betty Welner and Mildred Finck; and brothers, Allison, Lawrence, Ross, Rodney and Carol.

In his younger years he enjoyed playing both hockey and baseball. He also liked playing darts, bowling and was an avid pool player. His passion though was hunting and fishing and being with his buddies at the camp at Allen’s Lake.

Winnie was a devoted family man who enjoyed working with his hands. He started off in the carpentry trade and ended his working career as a licensed mechanic.

At the family’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service. Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.

Wenda Myrtle (Kennedy) Andrews

Andrews (Kennedy), Wenda Myrtle – Age 77, of Pleasant Valley, Col. Co., left us May 5, 2022.

Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Blanchard Elwood and Myrtle Mae (Carter) Kennedy.

Her joy was family, friends, music and Boo. She also found great enjoyment washing and hanging out clothes. Wenda was always available to help family and friends. She helped Wes in the sawmill, and on many other projects over the years. Wenda was an avid reader and smoker. She loved animals and had numerous cats, dogs, and even squirrels. Muma was entertained daily by the Love Nature channel, especially Hope for Wildlife and Orangutan Jungle School. The impromptu parties at LeRoy's were one of her favorite things. She loved the music and togetherness.

She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all. Surviving are daughters, Jane (A.T. McCready), Truro; Lori (Jeff) Yorke, Pleasant Valley; son, David, Pleasant Valley; grandson, Corey (Jewdi McCarthy) Halifax; sister, Avis Tufts, Brookfield; and chosen daughter, Rondalee, Brookfield.

Wenda was predeceased by her husband, Wesley George Andrews (2009). She was also predeceased by brothers, Laurie, Ross, and LeRoy.

Ethel Ann Allen

Allen, Ethel Ann – Age 90, of Chaswood, passed away in her home on May 5, 2022. Born in Milford Station, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Merle (Creelman) Taylor.

Ethel was a hairdresser for many years. She loved to dance, go camping and travelling.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley Newman; children, Ralph (Robin) McKeen, William McKeen, Linda (Laurie) Leedham, Edward McKeen; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles McKeen; second husband, Lawrence Allen; son, Robert McKeen; and sister, Joan Densmore.

Cremation has taken place.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 11 at 1 p.m. in Hillside Cemetery, Middle Musquodoboit.

Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative.

Lloyd Albert Angowski

Angowski, Lloyd Albert – Age 70 of Enfield.  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd on May 5, 2022 after his courageous battle with Parkinson’s and ALS. Lloyd was a remarkable man who was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, friend, and neighbour. 

Born in Pugwash, he was a son of the late Julian and Rita (Williams) Angowski.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of almost 44 years, Kathryn (Frame). He was a proud Dad and Grampy and had a lot of love for his daughters, Andrea and Jodi (Ian); and his grandchildren, Keegan, Payton, Landon, Quinn, and Isaac; brothers and sisters, Laura (Douglas) Stevens, Louise (Ricky) Hatton, Richard (Maria) Angowski, Lucy (Lawrence) France, Charles (Mary Lou) Angowski, Roger Angowski, Barb (Randy) MacDonald, Halena (Larry) Stevens, Robert (Donna) Angowski, Anne Marie Frame, Donna (Robert) Whitenect, Bill (Debbie) Frame, Marion Frame, Joan Worth, Lois (Brian) Palmer, Judy (Fred) Frame, John (Trina) Frame, Burt (Liz) Frame, Linda (Jimmy) Benere.  Besides his parents, Rita, Julian, Annie, and Pete; he was predeceased by sister, Wanda in infancy.

Lloyd was a great friend and neighbor to whomever he met and always put others ahead of himself.  He was a man of many talents, but carpentry skills were one of his finest.  He had established a great reputation for his skills, expertise and craftmanship and never let anything go undone without a helping hand and direction.  His happy place was Charlie Brown’s camp for hunting, fishing, and having a drink with the boys.  His passions were watching his favorite hockey player, Keegan and keeping the younger grandkids happy with grampy’s famous pancakes. He was known for his dry humor, quick wit and sarcasm putting a smile on everyone’s face.       

The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the exceptional quality of care provided by the doctors and nurses at the QEII and Truro hospitals as well as the VON nurses for their support allowing Lloyd to stay in his home. Special thanks to family, friends and neighbours that have gone above and beyond. 

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 am in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Enfield, followed by a reception at the Enfield Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133.

Donations may be made to ALS Society of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
