Dr. Philip Dunbar Muirhead

Muirhead, Dr. Philip Dunbar – Age 71 of Musquodoboit Harbour, passed away peacefully amongst his family in Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital on November 12, 2017. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Vincent and Margretta (Robertson) Muirhead.

Phil, a lifelong learner, graduated from Mount Allison University, then proceeded to Dalhousie University for his Masters, at which point he discovered his true calling, medicine. Upon graduation, he began a 35-year career as a rural family physician on the Eastern Shore. He was blessed to work in a practice that reflected his values and through the years, he came to know and love his patients, often encompassing several generations of one family. He thought it was important to participate and contribute to both provincial and national medical associations to impact the care that all patients would receive. He was an active and contributing member of First United Church, Musquodoboit Harbour, serving on many committees and singing in its choir for 40 years. Throughout it all, he was a devoted husband and father, supporting and participating in his children’s lives. When he finally had to step back from his medical practice, because of his illness, his greatest joy became his relationship with his seven grandchildren, who brought light into his eyes whenever he saw them.

He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Wendy (Putnam); children, Matthew (Amanda), Red Deer, Alta.; Jamie (Jennifer), Cole Harbour; Keltie (Charlie) Fudge, Cole Harbour; grandchildren, Lucas, Abigail, Alison, Leah, Sophie, Cameron, Amelia; sister, Sheila (Jack) Dietrich, Medicine Hat, Alta.; brothers, Murray (Virginia), Mount William; John (Inez), Westville; several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. downstairs in First United Church, Musquodoboit Harbour. Funeral service will be Monday, November 20 at 2 p.m. in First United Church with Rev. Joan Griffin officiating. Family flowers only. Memorial donations to Musquodoboit Harbour Pastoral Charge or The Lodge That Gives would be appreciated.

We can’t begin to name all the people who have cared for Dad over the last 23 years, but we are indebted to those who have; from staff at the ENT clinic, the Nova Scotia Cancer Centre, The Lodge That Gives, to those more recently involved, such as the amazing staff of the Continuing Care Program who supported us over the last few months. We would also like to thank all staff of Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care during the final days of Dad’s illness. It brought us great comfort knowing that he was cared for so well, in the same place where he had cared for so many.

Roland Arnold Pye

Pye, Roland Arnold – Age 58, Stewiacke East, passed away November 5, 2017, at home.

Roland enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with family, and “going on tour”.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda (Atkinson); daughter, Jenny (Farrell); sisters, Debbie (Jude), Virginia (Dave), Darlene; brother, Stanley; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Lottie Pye; brother, Bruce.

Cremation has taken place. The burial of ashes will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3 p.m., in Stewiacke Legion.

Eileen (Russell) Lobban

Lobban (Russell), Eileen – Age 89 of Truro. It is with thanksgiving for a life well lived that we announce the death of our mother, Eileen (Russell) Lobban, Truro, on Nov 4, 2017,  after a long struggle with Alzheimer disease. Born in Chatham, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Campbell and Ellen (Foley) Russell.

She is survived by her stepdaughter, Marjorie (Eric) Langley, Antigonish; son, Ian (Nancy), Ostrea Lake; daughter, Allyson (Kirk) MacLeod, Sutton, Ont.; grandchildren, Jason (Carlie), Laura (Michael), Cameron, Lily; great-grandchildren, Kylah, Daniel, Hailey; sisters, Dorothy Creighton, Chatham, N.B., Betty Barrett, St. John’s, N.L.; brother-in-law, Gordon Tetford, Harbour Grace, N.L.; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Byron; sisters, Peggy Bulmer, Alena MacKinley, Helen Jean Arnold, Frances Tetford; brothers-in-law, Howard Bulmer, Robert MacKinley, Frank Arnold, and Jim Creighton.

Though Eileen worked throughout her lifetime in various capacities with W. S. Loggies, Chatham; CFB Chatham; Canadian Tire, Port Hastings; and the Canada Employment Centre (later HRDC), Port Hawkesbury and Truro, her life’s work was helping people through her church and in her community. Eileen was a retired Elder of St. James Presbyterian Church, Truro, where she led an active women’s Bible study. She taught Sunday school and led children’s and youth groups at St. David’s United Church, Port Hastings. She was a lifelong volunteer of the Canadian Bible Society at both the local and provincial level. Eileen was instrumental on several refugee sponsorship committees and in the lives of the families as they settled into life in Canada. She quietly served those on the fringes with dignity and grace.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. Visitation will be on Saturday at 1 p.m. until time of service of worship and celebration at 2 p.m., both in Calvin Presbyterian Church, Chatham, N.B. Committal will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

The family has requested no flowers. In memory of Eileen, donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society or to St. James Presbyterian Church, Truro – Community Dinner, or to a community meal/food bank program in your own community.

Arthur Glenn Ramsey

Ramsey, Arthur Glenn – Age 55, of Wittenburg, passed away November 1, 2017, in Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital, Middle Musquodoboit. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late James “Jamie” and Gertrude (Guild) Ramsey.

Surviving are Jacqueline Pye, who was the love of his life, his soulmate, his everything; brother, Ralph (Tara); father-in-law, Buck Pye; sister-in-law, Christine, and her son, Dexter; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, JR and Evan; sister, Karen.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, from 1-3 p.m., in Stewiacke Legion. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.

Seymona Maria “Susie” Ubdegrove

Ubdegrove, Seymona Maria “Susie” – Age 53 of Head of Chezzetcook, passed away October 27, 2017, in Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour, after a year-long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family and close friends. Born in Yarmouth, she was the chosen daughter of Stanley and Edith Harrison.

Susie loved running her own business with her husband, Wayne. She was an excellent cook, craftmaker and gardener. She loved ATVing and spending time at the camp.

Surviving are her husband, Wayne; daughters, Katrina and Emily; sons, Jason and Cameron; three grandchildren; brothers, Peter and William; sister, Joy Rector; and her three loving dogs.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Lake Echo Fellowship Baptist Church, Pastor Frank Kohler officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Lake Echo Fellowship Baptist Church or a charity of choice.

Layton “Arthur” Dodsworth

Dodsworth, Layton “Arthur” – The passing of Layton Arthur “Art” Dodsworth, age 73, occurred on October 26, 2017 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. A son of the late Layton and Bessie Dodsworth, Art grew up on the family farm working alongside his father.

Art then went to work for Annand Steel, Atmus Equipment as foreman of the Dartmouth branch, and spent 18 years as service manager for Clem MacDonald at Central Equipment. It was said “If Art couldn’t fix it or tell you how to fix it, it couldn’t be fixed!” He was an easy going man who enjoyed duck hunting, bluegrass music and his 20 jovial years at Brule Beach Estates.

Art is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 52 years, Margaret; his much‑loved sons, Kevin (Tahnee), Aaron (Bronwyn); his beloved daughter, Jennifer (Ray Bowser); his precious grandchildren, Arthur, Curtis, Emma, Carey, Cole, Kyla and Makenna; sisters, Pearl, Phyllis, Betty, Margaret; brother, Mark.

June Anne Buchanan, Ph.D.

Buchanan, June Anne, Ph.D. – died 25 October 2017, 75 years young.

Trust your inner voice, lead by example, do no harm.

Complications following a routine medical procedure interrupted a lifetime of nurturing people, plants and animals. June would tell you that making art, sharing knowledge and working the earth gave her a state of grace and tempered her soul.

June felt a special calling to improve the lives of others, acting as a mentor and soul sister to many. She saw past circumstance to inner worth...highlighting special qualities in people, while giving them the courage and motivation to succeed.

Happenstance set the stage for a career in Art and Education in Grade 10, when June found herself instructing younger students in a one-room rural schoolhouse in eastern PEI. Part-time teaching followed in Charlottetown, Halifax and finally, rural Nova Scotia. At last, a high school classroom to call her own and the chance to develop a unique art programme that embraced school and community. June was a long-term friend to staff and students at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD) where she chaired the board of directors. She remained an active painter, potter and member of Visual Arts Nova Scotia (VANS) for many years.

Touching the minds and hearts of students while making learning meaningful is how June practiced her philosophy on the relationship between art, life and art education. This became the basis for her doctoral thesis. She went on to share her insight while instructing students at the Nova Scotia Teacher’s College.

Joan Helen (White) Killen

Killen (White), Joan Helen – Of Elderbank. On October 23, 2017, the matriarch of our family passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital. At 81 years, and after 50-plus years of suffering with arthritis, infection, and most recently with cancer, her suffering ended. She touched the hearts of every person she ever met.

She will be greatly missed by husband, Allison; sons, Newton (Michelle), Sackville; Burton (Heather), Stewiacke; Robert (Beverley), Mississauga, Ont.; daughters, Reta (Dave) Kerr, Elderbank; Christine Irving (Joe McKenna), Timberlea; chosen son, Alex, Dartmouth; brother, Alden R. White, Saskatchewan; sister, Gloria Ann Bayer, Windsor; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special lap dog, Lilly. Joan was predeceased by her mother, Agnes May (Lee) (White) Streatch; her stepfather, Burton Streatch; her father, Alden White, Sr.; granddaughter, Rebecca Killen.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m., both in St. Andrew’s United Church, Elderbank, Rev. Dr. Linda Yates officiating. Lee Gordon Connolly

Connolly, Lee Gordon – Age 75 of Truro, passed away suddenly on October 20, 2017, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Onslow Mountain, he was a son of the late Lester and Sadie (McCallum) Connolly.

Lee enjoyed many years of coaching ball with children of all ages. He was a proud member of A.A. for over 40 years.

Surviving are his wife, the former Geraldine “Gasha” Cox; daughter, Laura Lee Connolly (Edward Mansfield); grandchildren, Alecia Mansfield, Jasmine Mansfield; brother, George (Becky). He was predeceased by son, Richard Edward; niece, Dianne; siblings, Gladys Traicheff, Eileen Connolly, Ruth Williams, Lloyd, Adam, David, Richard, Doreen in infancy; sister-in-law, Whilamina Campbell; brothers-in-law, George Campbell, Jack Cox.

Audrey “Joan” (Taylor) Densmore

Densmore (Taylor), Audrey “Joan” – Age 84 of Stewiacke, passed away October 18, 2017, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Joan was born in Milford, and lived most of her married life in Stewiacke. Her parents were the late Ralph and Merle (Creelman) Taylor.

Joan was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Harry “Dan” Densmore. She was loved and will be missed by children, Stephen Densmore (Sharon), Diane Dodge (Richard), Carla Densmore (Dean); her grandchildren, Mila Warren (James), Kari Densmore, Evan Densmore (Erin), Joli Densmore, Erin Dodge (Michael), Justin Dodge; four great-grandchildren. Joan is survived by her siblings, Ethel (McKeen) Allen, Shirley Newman; sisters-in-law, Shirl Murrie and Doris Densmore.

Joan worked for 30 years at a variety of positions; beginning with the Densmore owned family sawmill and moving on to bookkeeping and dispatching. She served the community for several years as a volunteer with Nova Scotia Housing Commission. Joan and Dan enjoyed music and dancing. They were square dancers for many years and continued old-time dancing throughout their lives. Joan enjoyed reading, theatre and movies, and liked to spend time with her family at the cabin at Shortts Lake. Joan was a loving and devoted matriarch to family and close family friends.

Joan’s family will host a Celebration of Life for family and friends on Saturday, from 2-4 p.m., in St. Andrew’s United Church hall, 46 Main Street, Stewiacke. We will gather to share memories, tell stories, and celebrate the life of a woman who dearly loved her husband and family, and was generous to the community and strangers all. Private family interment at a later date.

Gordon Allenby “Gordie” Campbell

Campbell, Gordon Allenby “Gordie”– of Brookfield, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Alton, Colchester Co., in 1942, he was a son of the late Alvin and Vina (Dickson) Campbell, and was an identical twin weighing just 2.2 lbs.

In 1956, Gordie's family moved to Brookfield. He was a friendly face at the Brookfield corner where he ran the Esso Service Station before moving on to LaFarge Canada. He retired from there after 27 years of service. Many will miss his easy-going nature and quick sense of humour. The Campbell cottage at Shortt's Lake was an important part of Gordie's life and the door was always open. Many family gatherings and special times, shared by many, took place there. Gordie also enjoyed the hunting camp in Eastville and listening to fiddle music. Over the years, he enjoyed being a Brookfield Volunteer Fireman and attending dances. He was a member of Knox United Church.

Gordie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family, Jeffrey (Misti) of Brookfield and their sons Cody and Colton; Wendi (Kelly) Grant of Summerland, B.C., and their children Katie and Danny; David (Lesley) of Malagash and their children Alex and Morgan. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Also surviving are his foster sisters, Patsy (Herb) McCallum, Betty Roop, both of Brookfield; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Bruce) Murray of Yarmouth; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Carol, in 2013; his twin, Graham and wife, Judy; his mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and Carman Keiver; Betty’s husband, Randy. 

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 29 at 2 p.m. in Knox United Church, Brookfield, Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. A celebration of life will follow in the church hall. The family will attend a burial in Brookfield Westside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knox United Church or Palliative Care Unit, Colchester East Hants Health Centre.

The family would like to thank Gordie’s neighbours and friends for the years of support, Gordie's palliative team for their care during his illness, and a special thank you to Linda Lindsay for her care and friendship to both Mom and Dad.

Murray James Carroll

Carroll, Murray James – Age 84, Lantz, passed away October 14, 2017, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. He was a son of the late James and Elizabeth (Ettinger) Carroll.

Murray retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. He enjoyed card games and his many hunting and fishing trips.

Surviving are his son, Wayne (Diana Gomes) Carroll, Haliburton, Ontario; daughter, Cindy (Roy Lance) Carroll, Oshawa, Ontario; grandchildren, Travis Carroll, Dylan Lance, Margaret Lance; brothers, Archie, Lantz, Freddie (Dorothy McIsaac), Middle Sackville; sisters, Erma (Clifford) Fraser, Coburg, Ontario, June (Harold) Cole, Oldham, Irene Milbery, Enfield; good friend, Tanya Ashley, Lantz. Valerie Lucille Nieforth

Nieforth, Valerie Lucille – Age 54 of Lantz, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, October 13, 2017. Born in Elmsdale, she was a daughter of Mickey (MacDonnell) Nieforth, of Enfield, and the late Myron Nieforth.

Valerie was a dedicated homecare worker who excelled at her job by her love of helping others. She was a caring person who always put her family, as well as others and her pets, ahead of herself.

She will be loved and missed by her partner, Jim Isenor; her mother, Mickey and stepfather, Edward “Ned” Crawford; brother, Barry; children, Cody, Darcy, Lacy; grandchildren, Peyton, Dalton, Lincoln, Daxton. Besides her father, she was predeceased by brother, Edward.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in St. George’s Anglican Church, Dutch Settlement, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in St. George’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia would be appreciated.

Sylvia Doris Pickles

Pickles, Sylvia Doris – Age 76, Chaswood, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2017, surrounded by loved ones in Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour. Born in Eastville, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Weir) Dunlap.

Sylvia had been a hairdresser since 1975 and worked out of her home. The many customers over the years enjoyed her conversations and the beauty of her gardens. She and her husband Harry spent many hours working on them, and were loyal members of the Valley Weeders. When not in the gardens, they could be found at bluegrass festivals and enjoyed many nights of dancing.

She will be loved and missed by children, Wayne (Dianna), Sherry (Gordon) Joyce, Colin (Karen); grandchildren, Steven, Nicole, Jeremy, Ashley, Christopher; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Lawrence (Sharon), Albert (Dianne), Donnie (Kathleen), Shirley (Bob) Ross, Rosalie (Butch) Frizzell, Betty (Jim) Rector, Faye (Willie) Courtney, Barbie (Gordie) Miller, Cecil (Lillian); many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry; grandson, Colin; brothers William “Willie”, Wesley.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Middle Musquodoboit, at 2 p.m. on Friday. Following this, a time of remembrance and reception celebrating Sylvia’s life, will be held downstairs in Middleton United Church, Middle Musquodoboit. Rose Marie Porter - Funeral Announcement

Porter, Rose Marie – Age 78 of Gays River, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2017, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, surrounded by her family. Born in Halifax, she was the eldest daughter of the late Gordon and Violet Rayner.

Rose spent a lot of her time volunteering in the community and for others. She made a number of quilts and dozens of cookies for those less fortunate. She loved her children and grandchildren, and still had lots of love to share with everyone who made her home their own.

She will be loved and missed by children, Fawnda, Wesley, Delores, Natasha; their father, Blair; grandchildren, Angela, Mallory, Jamie, Victoria, Samantha, Morgan, Alanna; great-grandchildren, Brantley, Blake, Jaxon; brothers, Raymond, Elmer. She was predeceased by sisters, Vivian “Cookie”, Patricia.

Richard Clarke Myers

Myers, Richard Clarke – Age 69 of Head of Jeddore, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2017, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII Site, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family. Born on the family homestead on Myers Point, he was a son of the late Leslie Alexander Myers and Elvie Florence (Mills).

Richard’s joy was his years spent with his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary Paula (Richard). Together they lovingly raised a beautiful family, Anita (Darrell) Kent, Dwayne (Michelle) Myers, Lisa (Wayne) Hopkins, Tanya (Paul) Myers, Tristan (Chelsey) Myers; grandchildren, Brandon, Daniel, Paul, Matthew and Evan. Richard is also survived by siblings, Carter (Darlene), Wayde (late Lorraine Foley), Timothy (Joyce Webber), Thomas (Nadine), Lana (Howard) Ein, Sherry (Dennis) Preeper and Heather (Gary) Nuss. He will also be missed by many lifelong friends, the Porters Lake “Timmy Buddies” and his fur babies, Annabelle and Duke.

Richard lived and loved his life in Jeddore. As a young boy, this was the place where his Uncle Harley taught him to hunt and fish. It became one of his greatest passions, and Richard was considered by many in the community as a fine outdoorsman. His strong connection to nature brought him much contentment. For many years, Richard played and coached local softball and hockey. In 1995, the Nova Scotia government recognized his outstanding contributions to minor sports. Richard was also a carpenter by trade, and for over 25 years, he owned and operated Myers Flooring.

Cremation has taken place. A Service of Christian Mass will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 8 Park Rd., Musquodoboit Harbour, Father Fabian Ihunegbo officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to KidSport Nova Scotia or Canadian Red Cross.

The family expresses its deep gratitude to the CCU doctors and nurses on unit 6.4 who demonstrated such kindness and compassion during Richard’s final hours.

Levi Harrison Gale

Gale, Levi Harrison – Age 55 of Pleasant Valley Road, Upper Musquodoboit, passed away September 28, 2017, following a short battle with cancer. Born in Middle Musquodoboit, he was a son of Frank Gale and the late Amy (Henley) Gale.

Levi worked in the woods for many years and the last 13 years were spent at Taylor Lumber in Middle Musquodoboit. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and his home was open to everyone. He would do anything for anyone.

Besides his father, he is survived by brothers, Kenny (Janet), Ivan, Danny (Leah), Calvin, Conway (Brett); sisters, Louise, Juanita (Mark); best friend of more than 30 years, Perry McInnis; godson, Hunter Brown; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Scott; sister, Roberta.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Monday from 7-9 p.m., in St. James United Church, Upper Musquodoboit. A gathering will be held at the family home at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to Musquodoboit Valley Health Foundation – Hospital.

Lillie Kathleen Stewart

Stewart, Lillie Kathleen- Age 94, Truro, and formerly of Stewiacke, passed away September 19, 2017, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Lantz, she was a daughter of the late John and Elta (Hines) Woodworth, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Lillie was a veteran of the Second World War where she served with the Canadian Women’s Army Corp. (C.W.A.C.) from 1943 to 1946 as company Sergeant Major (C.S.M).

She leaves behind her husband of 70 years, Jarvis; daughters, Jamie, Truro; Wendy (Kathy Walker), Hall’s Harbour.

Cremation has taken place. Family interment of ashes will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to SPCA Colchester Branch, P.O. Box 914, Truro, NS, B2N 5G7 or to a charity of choice.

Willard Havelock Erskine

Erskine, Willard Havelock – Age 82, of Upper Musquodoboit, passed away September 16, 2017. Born in Upper Musquodoboit, he was a son of the late Havelock and Annie (Burnett) Erskine.

Willard grew up on a farm and worked hard all of his life. He was a dairy farmer, and enjoyed hunting and gardening.

Surviving are his wife, Jean (Eisan); children, Wayne (Karen), Diane Muise (Brian), Donna Erskine, Carl (Natasha); grandchildren, Brittany, Ryan, Morgan, Brett, Cody and Taylor Erskine; Erica Erskine-Levere; Sheldon, Connor and Logan Muise; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Atwood; sister-in-law, Brenda Erskine. He was predeceased by brother, Hugh; sister, Dorothy; brothers-in-law, Keith Fancy and Raymond Atwood.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Monday, 7-9 p.m., and funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m., both in St. James United Church, Upper Musquodoboit; Rev. Michael Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Family flowers only.  Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Jeannine R. Pye

Pye, Jeannine R. – Age 79, Stewiacke, passed away September 13, 2017, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Leopold and Alphada (Chevarie) LeClerc.

Surviving are husband, Buck; daughters, Jacqueline (Arthur), Christine; grandson, Dexter, all of Stewiacke; brothers, Gaston, Chilliwack, B.C.; Auriel, Halifax; John (Clara), Rene (Joyce); sister, Carmel Bryne, all of Dartmouth; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by aunt, Eva; brother, Leo; sister, Jacqueline.

Cremation has taken place.

Special thanks to cousin, Vicky Moore, who was like a daughter, for always being there; to Christine Smith, who was like a granddaughter; and to all the family and friends who visited in Mom’s final days.
