Noble (White), Linden Mae “Lindy” – Age 74, Nine Mile River. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Lindy, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, on January 9, 2016, with her family by her side. Born in Noel Road, she was a daughter of the late Marsden and Ada White. Lindy is survived by her loving husband, of 53 years, Albert; daughter, Colleen and son-in-law, Bert; grandchildren, Courtney, Ashley and Bradley (Miranda), who were her pride and joy. Also surviving are sisters, Myrt, Barb (Aub), Gaylene; brother, Lance (Cece); in-laws, Darlene, Sarah, and Bev. She was predeceased by siblings, Rollie and Shelia; brothers-in-law, Eric and Dave.
Lindy was a member of Nine Mile River United Church, where she served as Sunday school superintendent. She was also a member of Nine Mile River Ladies Auxiliary for over 45 years, and an active member of Nine Mile River Community Centre. She was an avid bingo player, and enjoyed weekly games at Nine Mile River and Enfield, where she shared many laughs with her friends. Lindy spent many weekends at the trailer, where she was a member of Avon Boat Club. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, puzzles, and shopping, especially her trips to the States.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and funeral service will be Wednesday, at 2 p.m., both in Nine Mile River United Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Nine Mile River United Church or Sand Hill Cemetery. The family will meet friends in Nine Mile River Community Centre following the service.
