Young, Max Bernays – Age 83, Musquodoboit Harbour, passed away February 2, 2015 in Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour. Max and his wife, Millie, the love of his life, raised their family in Upper Musquodoboit where he helped to keep the lights on with the Nova Scotia Power Commission for 30 years.
Max is survived by his children, Danny (Carla), Lawrencetown; Randy (Debbie), Calgary, Alta.; Julia (Keith) Rhuland, Bridgewater; Dwayne (Beth), Glenelg; Kim (Dan) Jennings, Musquodoboit Harbour; Andrew (Lisa Bonang), Musquodoboit Harbour. He was very proud of his 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Leah Anderson, Mildred Karsten, and Marion Topple. He was predeceased by his wife, Millie; parents, Archie and Laverna Young, brothers, Louis (Marie), Cecil (Phonse), Wayne (Joan), Keith (Joan); sister, Elsie (Darryl) Fader.
Funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10 a.m., in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Musquodoboit Harbour, Father Randy Doucette officiating. A reception will follow downstairs in the church. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, where he was treated with love and respect.
