Harbour (Redden), Sadie Mateer – Age 94, of Toronto and formerly of Middle Musquodoboit, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 9, 2015. She is survived by her daughters, Maureen Campbell, Lynne Redden, Helen Isenor; son, Angus Redden; son-in-law, Brian Bower. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Andrew Bower (Lisa), David Campbell (Lisa), Cheryl Campbell, Roderick Redden, Margaret Higgins, Hayley Redden; great-grandchildren, Timothy Campbell (Jazmin Zahos), Kyle Campbell, and Callum Redden. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Gordon Higgins, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Sadie was predeceased by her first husband of 52 years, Fred Redden; her second husband, George Harbour; daughter, Finvola (Finn) Bower; sons, Colin and Roderick Redden. She was also predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Margaret Norton (Naughton) Archibald; step-mother, Jenny Archibald; siblings, Mary Archibald, Joseph Archibald, William Archibald, Jean Hill-Nix, Edna Thomas.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Sadie's life will be held in Nova Scotia at a later date. If so desired, donations in Sadie's memory may be made to any veterans' organization or a charity of choice.
